Pubs are Zizkov phenomena. There isn't one place in Prague where you would be able to find them in such a concentration. You may be choosing form luxurious premises, but class "four" pubs are not an exception as well. Each of them has its own charm and often also a stable clientele of barflies. And such as the legendary cellars in the Old Town, Zizkov pubs attract also visitors from other places. You will be able to find 60 carefully selected places on these pages. Some of them are not located directly in Zizkov, but are scattered very close by, and it would be a pity to simply skip them.

The numbers, which are below the main entrance photo, will lead you to the photos of the interior, the garden etc. The photos are NOT modified or improved in any way, as it often happens in many official pages, thus you can see, how is the place looking in real life and operation.

Nad Viktorkou (Upon Viktorka)

	Renowned, perhaps you could also say a cult place of the older generation. Lately it is also very popular among students of nearby schools. You enter a murky room with few tables and a beer tap. As you go further on, downstairs, you may find yourself in a wine cellar. Third, increasingly popular part, is a sheltered garden in the back yard with a posh name "Garden restaurant". More or less famous bands are performing here at least once per week.	PRICES:

Olše (Alder)

	Olše is a relatively new place with modern interior, plasma TV's at the Olšanské square. Its suitable for business parties The restaurant is divided into two parts, which can hold up to 115 people.	PRICES:

Parukářka (Crested Tit)

	A little house with few tables and benches and a beer tap, located on Křížek hill. The place, being in the middle of a park, is surrounded by greenery and park benches- an ideal place for a walk with a dog. If you don't mind paying a little deposit for beer glasses (which is refundable, if you don't manage to break them), you may take your drinks out of the pub and sit down in the grass to enjoy the breathtaking sceneries of Prague, which can't be seen in other places but this one... Pivní Záležitost (Beer Business)

	A nice clean restaurant, suitable for larger groups. If you wan to meet with more friends, reserve your places first, the pub gets quite full in the evenings. The restaurant itself has three separate rooms with large tables and benches, one with a bar + there is a summergarden as well. Excellent cuisine, the Tartar steak is strongly recommended.	PRICES:

Planeta Žižkov (Planet Zizkov)

	A little pub just next to the tunnel to Karlín. Very original interior- the walls are covered with messages from Czech and foreign tourists. The service is nice, you can also watch two or three TVs. But a big warning for the non smoking folks- the air conditioning hasn't been invented in this place yet and the smoke gets very thick in the evenings.	PRICES:

	Something between a restaurant and a pizzeria. A flabby place with a lounge, with smoking and non smoking parts separated. Recommended just in case of despair, when all the pubs around are full.	PRICES:

Polo

	Polo is a stylish place for around 80 people with a relatively dark environment on a busy crossing Ohrada. Service is pleasant and there is a wide variety of food, including great steaks. This place is opened daily until 1 a.m. except for Sunday.	PRICES:

Potrefená husa (Meshugga Goose)

	Earlier a renowned china restaurant Babeta, nowadays a stylish pub. A friendly get together place with a marvellous bar and numerous little televisions tucked in all around the place. Because many foreign tourists like to visit the pub, there is only a slight chance to get seats without a previous reservation. A little garden is opened in summertime. The only drawback are the prices, which are a little over average.	PRICES:
